The 2009 Shongum School Cash for Creativity Program had another successful year. Through this program the PTA directly supports the teachers by purchasing materials so they can implement their creativie ideas in the class room. The bottom line is that the children’s curriculum is enhanced through these teacher initiated programs.
This year’s recipients were:
- Ms. Ernstes for additional musical instruments
- Mrs. Casper and the 5th Grade team for historical fiction books
- Mr. Scala for an Airliner Wireless Slate
- Mrs. Sobel and the 4th grade team for a life size skeleton and joint kit
- Mrs. Maglio and Mrs. Boucher for additional art supplies
- Ms. Okarma for Lucy Calkins Support Books
- Mrs. Lorey for an ELMO TT-02 digital visual presenter
